The greenhouse films we supply for greenhouse construction mainly include EV film, PE film, and PO anti drip film. The selection factors for these three films are mainly to adapt to different application place, the price and service life of the films, and the type of greenhouse.
The installation method of greenhouse film mainly includes the following steps:
1. Preparation before installation:
Preparation of materials and tools: greenhouse film, pillar, wire, wire mesh, scissors, tape, wood batten and other materials, as well as pliers, hammers and other tools. 1
Site and greenhouse inspection: Choose a place with sufficient sunlight, good drainage, and low wind to build a greenhouse, check whether the greenhouse frame is firm, whether there are sharp edges and corners, and if necessary, handle or wrap it.
Greenhouse film treatment: Store the greenhouse film in a shaded and dry place, and preheat it at room temperature of 2-3 ℃ before installation in winter to prevent aging.
2. Installation process:
Determine size and cut: Measure the length and width of the greenhouse, and cut the greenhouse film according to actual needs.
Installation of pillars: Fix pillars at both ends of the greenhouse, usually 2-3 meters high, to ensure vertical stability of the pillars.
Laying the film: Lay the film horizontally from the top of the shed, paying attention to the junction between the two layers. The second layer should be laminated at least 20 centimeters below by the first layer.
Fixed film: Use wire to pass through the edge of the greenhouse film and fix it on the pillar, or cover and fix it with wire mesh but not press it against the film; Alternatively, the steel wire can be threaded through the greenhouse film in an east-west direction to fix both ends, and then the edge of the greenhouse film can be tied to a bamboo pole, which can be pulled and fixed to the ground anchor; You can also dig trenches about 15 centimeters deep on both sides of the greenhouse, and bury the edges of the film in the trenches and compact them.
3. Check after installation:
Check the sealing: Check whether the greenhouse film is damaged, wrinkled, and completely sealed. If any problems are found, repair them with tape in a timely manner.
Adjust the film angle: To ensure even sunlight exposure, adjust the film angle to 10-20 degrees.
Attention:
Ensure that the surface of the shed frame is smooth and free of sharp protrusions to avoid scratching the shed membrane. The existing sharp edges can be wrapped with soft materials (such as rubber pads and foam strips).
Use specialized pressure film tape or clamp spring to fix the greenhouse film, avoiding the use of materials such as iron wire that are prone to scratching the film surface.
Choose sunny or cloudy weather with wind speeds below level 3 for installation, which is beneficial for the smooth laying and fixation of the membrane surface.
The best installation time of the day is during the morning, when the temperature gradually rises and the air humidity is high, which is conducive to maintaining the cleanliness and transparency of the film surface.
